The Masks

we all wear masks to hide our intent

we all stand up straight to prove we're not bent

we all cover our faces to stay in the dark

we all wipe off our tears but we don't bite like we bark

we all put on masks that never come off

we all hide our truths and loves so soft

and we don't show ourselves until all are away

the masks come off as the light fades to black

and we come out in death before falling

falling into the black, the abyss of the masks
